Doritos Flamas Flavored Tortilla Chips

These Doritos claim to be chile and lime flavored and deliver on both accounts. The lime flavor hits first and is pretty strong and tart.  Then the heat comes in and leaves a long, slow mouth burn.  They are a standard Dorito so they are pretty crunchy and corn flavored with some ‘cheddar’ flavor behind the more dominant added flavors.  These are definitely one of the better, spicier Doritos flavors we’ve tasted which is probably because they came from Arizona and are distributed through Sabritas.  These Doritos, like the Tapatios Frito collaborations, are probably only available out west judging from the English/Spanish labels. 

Rating on the Spice-O-Meter: 6/10

Bottom Line: Limey, spicy Doritos.
